Episode 31: My Big Fat Italian Concussion

The Aftertaste Podcast • Ep. 31

My Big Fat Italian Concussion

Maddy reports live from Tuscany nursing a fresh concussion after a low brick door frame sent her on a 55-minute Italian ambulance ride—culminating in an overnight hospital stay and the ultimate culture shock of a zero-dollar medical bill. Back in Arizona, Priscilla has been holding down the studio, unpacking a charity gala where Producer Joe legitimately wondered if "black tie" meant wearing any tie that happens to be black.

In This Episode: Gala Dress Codes & $80,000 Mattresses

After steering Producer Joe away from a near-Burlington Coat Factory fashion disaster and into a tailored look, Priscilla attends the gala and meets a luxury mattress broker selling $1.7 million Hästens horsehair beds. A 48-hour obsession with ultra-luxury commission rates quickly follows before reality sets in. Meanwhile, Maddy navigates Italian emergency room triage, open-air hospital bathrooms, and the universal confusion of asking European nurses where to pay.

Feed the Group Chat: Tuscan Truffles & Food Fatigue

Maddy continues her culinary tour through Tuscany with truffle hunting alongside an elderly dog named Sally, hands-on pecorino cheesemaking, and an intimate tasting menu at Demetra Cooking School featuring orange duck and sheep ragù. Despite the world-class dining, Maddy drops a shocking travel confession: after weeks of nonstop pasta, she has hit a wall and would do anything for a plate of carne asada. Priscilla backs her up with a rave review of Phoenix fast-casual gem Taco Viva, alongside a recap of True Food Kitchen’s sudden bankruptcy filing.

Whine & Dine: App Overload & Venue Catering Traumas

For Whine & Dine, the girls call out the modern tech plague: why does every parking meter, telehealth portal, and dinner reservation now demand a separate app and two-factor code? The conversation turns to disappointing event catering, sparking an essential breakdown of cocktail-hour survival tactics—from smuggling purse-prosciutto to the undisputed superiority of family-style service and pigs in a blanket.

Spill the Matcha & Palate Cleanser: Cheugy or Not Cheugy?

In pop culture, the girls sound off on the TSA’s controversial ban on security officers sitting down, Colleen Hoover’s Verity hitting theaters, Alix Earle’s reading habits, and a shocking elimination on Dancing with the Stars. To close out the table, Maddy and Priscilla launch an official trial of millennial and Gen Z staples: are Tory Burch Miller sandals, Lululemon belt bags, Stanley tumblers, and espresso martinis timeless classics or officially cheugy?

Episode 31
The Aftertaste. [music] I'll have what she's spilling. The podcast for foodies and pop culture girly swirlies. [music] We're here to yap with their mouth full of caviar about what we're eating, obsessing over, and what's living rentree in our heads long after the plates have cleared. [music] From local bites and unhinged hot takes to friendships, gossip, and internet culture. These are the conversations that linger even after the last bite. Come hungry and ready for dessert. Happy hump day, munch day, taste buddies. I was like waiting for taste buddies to talk. Sorry guys, I'm a little slow. Um rightfully so. We'll let him know. But um that was Maddie. I'm on video. She's not. So we're just going to like plug her in. Um we figured that having like some cuz you I had some funny stuff I said last week and we didn't make any clips of it. So, I'm going to keep my video on. I am so excited for Maddie to be back next week cuz we're going to be back in the studio. I just Well, I just kind of booked. They like red they redid our membership so like there's a lag. I have to email them. But we're back in I think next week. Yay. I'm so excited. Yeah, I'm excited. I miss you. Um I'm just excited to be like in my spot. Like I miss like wheeling the Hulkan into the studio, you know? I miss my Hulkan so much. Yeah. Yeah. I'm shocked you didn't bring one for all this stuff you're bringing back. I actually have to buy another carry-on. Oh yeah. Did yours break? Yeah. So I was already borrowing one and so then I was like, you know what? I might as well buy a new one and bring all the [ __ ] I bought it back. Are you getting like some fancy Italian one? No. No. No. You know me. Enough with the small talk. Tell us why you're not functioning like a human. Okay. Sorry. Sorry [laughter] my vest. So, I have a concussion and sorry I'm laughing. Basically, uh I wish I had a really cool story for you guys. Everyone I've told so far asked if it's cuz of my POTS and I fainted or somebody actually asked if I had a Vespa accident. [laughter] Wait, I could I could see the Vesa outfit like accident so clear as day. Like a baby blue one, you and like a bandana and then you just being like, "I'm fine, guys." And like it being a huge scene. And then number two, for your for your um pants thing, like before she tells the story, just want to let you know that me and Joe were like, "Well, we hope her pots is cured now." Yeah. Just just smack it out of me. Producer Joe's concerned. Just FYI. Also, we're back with producer next week. So, I think I don't know. We might fire him. If he doesn't show up next week, he's fired. [laughter] Okay. But back to your story. Go, go, go. [snorts] Okay. So, I just was we were going to have people over for dinner. We're at a villa in Tuscanyany. And I was scrambling around and there's like a step underneath the laundry room and I was going to get my laundry done cuz I had like the laundry I needed to do as a pile of clothes on the floor and I grabbed it all and like hopped into the laundry room like at full force and it was a low like low opening and I literally knocked myself out, smacked my forehead on the low brick door and I got a concussion and I I it took a few hours like I was in a lot of pain. I couldn't look at screens. I immediately had like nausea and light sensitivity, but I was still kind of trying to like talk myself out of it. And then I texted a doctor friend of ours and he was like, "Yeah, no, you definitely need to get checked out, but we're in the middle of Tuskanyany. It's late. I don't have anyone that can drive me to the nearest hospital that's an hour away. And then we do a like teleaalth call with the sweetest doctor ever, Dr. Mario. And he's like, "Try to talk to me on the screen. I'm covering my eyes because it's I I literally can't look at any light." And he's like, "I know you're on vacation. I know you don't want there to be an ambulance, but that's the only way and you need to get checked out to make sure even just to make sure there's no brain bleed or something serious. And so the Italian ambulance came, they didn't speak any English. It's 55 minutes away. And um you know, I don't know. It's just like a normal like they do triage, they do an exam, they diagnose me with a concussion, they do a CT. I stay there overnight and then in the morning they say my CT is good and I'm good to go and it's like really nice. like it it's a very nice hospital in the middle of Tesus, but I'm sharing the room with someone and the I I feel like part of the reason I like feel like I don't have like a major brain injury or something is I still know some of my Italian and so the guy tells me that if I have to go to the bathroom, the bathroom's in my room and I'm sharing the room with someone and the toilet is right behind her head like in like open air. So if I have to pee, I'm like peeing behind her head and I'm like, "Oh my god." Under no circumstances am I going to pee. Well, turns out I ended up having to pee and I felt really bad, but she didn't even move, so I don't know what was going on with her. Um, maybe it was normal for everyone else, but it was awful. That's a weird toilet. Yeah. And then also, I was getting eaten alive by a mosquito. It was like in my ear. Um, and I I literally I'll show you pictures or I'll actually put a picture up for you guys. It was like my whole neck and face and everything the whole time. But I like couldn't be bothered to try to swat the mosquito because again I just like my head was hurting so bad and I couldn't like do use my brain. And so anyway, I'm getting discharged and the guy's like doing my discharge paperwork or whatever and I'm like and he's like, "Okay, you go. Have a nice day." And um I ask him where to pay and he looks at me like I'm insane. And then he's like kind of confused and he's and then he looks at my thing again and then he like goes to uh a different nurse guy and is like uh show her where to pay basically in Italian. And so I follow I follow him. He takes me out to the waiting room and he points to this like blank desk and is like okay uh you'll pay there. I don't know where he is right now. And so I'm like okay. And I I have to wait for my like ride to come anyway cuz again it's like an hour away. They're driving to pick me up. And so I'm waiting and waiting and waiting waiting for a while. And then and I'm like I'm nervous about how much this is going to cost because it again it was an hour ambulance. I'm obviously not local. I am overnight hospital. I got a CT. All this stuff. Did you have travelers insurance? No. I will only I was like it was I was like okay I guess I would use my I have a travelers credit card so I would use that and so then f again this guy who I'm supposed to pay is not there and so I go to the ladies at the like front desk info and I ask them like where do I pay and they also look at me like I'm nuts and then they're like oh he gets back around like 10:00 a.m. And then they're like, "Can we see your paperwork?" And so I show them my paperwork and they look at me again like I'm stupid. And they're like, "You don't pay anything." They're like, "You were a code three. Code one through three doesn't pay." And so basically they have codes one through five. And like one through three means like you had to be seen. It was either like life like like a code one is like heart attack, right? Like you need to be seen immediately. Number one. Two is like serious but you can wait a little longer. And three is like you have to be seen but also you could wait a little longer like a head injury but you're not like actively bleeding or something like that have like horrible symptoms. So uh yeah even the guy today told me that if you need a helicopter it's not like you don't have to pay for it. It's like in Italy you can just get injured and they help you. Wait, so what happens if you're code four or five? Is that like you come in with the flu? Yeah. and or like need light stitches or something. Um if if you're a code 405, you pay €50, but ambulances are always free. Damn. Yeah, my Italian ambulance ride costs less than USA tampons. Like it's [laughter and snorts] it's crazy. Well, it costs less than a lot of things. Costs less than your milkshake in Malta. [laughter] [gasps] But yeah, anyway, so long story, but concussion. Yeah, just so you guys know. So, I like wake up and they're like, "Hey, Maddie hit her head. Can you post the menu?" And I'm like, "What?" But I'm also not asked a lot of questions cuz it's like she hit her head. So, it's just like I don't really want to talk to anybody but you about it. And so I'm just like, man, I'm in timeout. And I'm over here dealing with my own like issues. And my own issues is that I put my birth chart into Claude [laughter] and I had like nobody to talk to about this. And I had to like talk to Maddie about our compatibility and all this [ __ ] but she had a concussion, so I had to be like very sensitive to how she was doing. And I did care. And then finally it was like two days later and I called you. Remember when I called you about that gossip? [laughter] You were like you were like tell me now and I was like oh my god I'm sorry you I've been so busy. I've had to only talk about the important stuff. Like I I didn't have time to tell you about the other stuff. Yeah. I didn't I didn't use my phone at all for two days. I was just telling like I was telling the people I was with to tell pre like updates and stuff because like the screens were unbearable. But I'm doing way better. Yeah. And you're eating a lot of pasta so that helps. Yes, definitely. Okay. So, I need to tell you I need to tell you about the galla joke. Okay. Please. Okay. I haven't filled you in. And I told Joe I was going to tell the story and I was like if you want to hop on producer Joe to defend yourself, you can. Well, not really defend himself. He knows like how this story is going to go, but um but you know, he's too busy for me. But anyways, so Joe calls me like last Monday and he's like, "Please, please, please, please, please, could you ask your husband if you can go with me to this gala on Saturday, like my date bailed and I need to go with somebody. Please, please, please, please." And I'm like, well, like [ __ ] it. Like I'll go with you. A free night to drink. like whatever. So, I go with him and then I'm like, "Well, send me the invite." So, he sends me the invite and I look at it and I'm like snickering to myself because we know that producer Joe can be like a little bit stubborn. So, Maddie, I I think I refrain from telling you this story, right? Yeah. I have no idea what's coming. Okay, good. Okay. So, he says with invitation and first of all, it's at your like not so favorite venue in Scottsdale. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. Yeah. So, I like I'm reading it and then it says black tie attire and I look at that and I'm like I'm like okay I'm going to wear a dress text Joe. I'm like you're going to wear tux, right? And he's like [ __ ] no. I'm gonna wear picture like I'm gonna wear like black on black. And I'm like, "Okay." And I just let it go because like Joe can be stubborn and like if you tell him too many things at once then like you know you got to back up. But actually I didn't stop there. I did say like I gave him tips on how to make like a makeshift like tux. I was like you know at my wedding we did it. You can do like a suspenders and bow tie and still be like good. And he was like man like I don't have a jacket now. I left in Chicago. And I was like, "Well, you need to go get one." And all this and all this stuff. So then he calls me like the following Wednesday or Thursday later and he he goes like, "Hey, what's up? Um, I really need to talk to you. Um, so what's this deal about black tie?" And I was like, "Yeah." So I was like waiting for him to be like, "Okay, I kind of make a makeshift outfit." He goes, "So like, do I actually have to wear like a tie that's black or can I wear like any color tie?" Oh [laughter] my god. How old is midlife crisis? Joe. Oh. And I'm like, Joe, you're like third. I'm not going to drop his, you know, he's in his 30s. I'm like like Joe, you're this old. Like, he's like, "No, I've never been to a black tie wedding." I'm like, "Oh my god." Okay. So, I'm like I'm like, "Joe, like I've been trying to help you." And he's like, "Okay, well, help me." I'm like, "Okay, you to make a makeshift one, you need to go and you need to go get like a black jacket and then you need to get like a white shirt and then you can get a suspenders and a bow tie and it'll look really good and it'll nobody will know." And so he's like, "Okay, cool." So he goes and he's like, "Uh, the jackets are like" which they were none were on sale then, so I totally get it. So then he he goes, "I'm going to go to Burlington Coat Factory." That just came up at the top of his head. Yeah. So he went from Men's Warehouse to Burlington Coat Factory and like he was like, "They've got to have something there." I was like, "Yeah, probably." And like mind you, like I've never I've never walked into that store in my entire life. I've gone to TJ Maxx. I've gone to Marshalls, but I've never gone to Berlin and coat factory. So, like, but a coat and a jacket, they've got to have it. And then he like sends me a picture and I was like, you know, Nordstrom's rack would for sure have it. And he's like, that was my next choice. And I didn't know that he ended up there, but he did get a picture. But he sends me the jacket and it's him and all his like skater clothes and then a jacket. [laughter] And then and then and then the caption is found one. Going to go get it tailored. And I'm like, so you wouldn't buy a nice jacket, but you just And at that time I thought it was Burlington, not Nordstrom's rack. I I forgive I forgive Nordstrom's Dramore, but he was like but I thought he bought like a jacket at Burlington and was going to go get it tailored. No, I I thought that's exactly what just happened. But I will show you guys a picture because producer Joe looks so good. He looks so good. Like when I saw him I Oh, here here's the thing that really bothered me though is that afterwards I was like he's like, "Okay, so what do I wear?" And I was like, "You know what? I'm just gonna put it through like Claude and get you like a piece by piece outfit so I don't like [ __ ] anything up and then you yell at me. And I was correct. I put everything in. I was correct everything he needed. But then I like was a little bit nicer because Joe doesn't like to put it like in a box. So I was like you could wear I was like but like you know a variation of the sort is like what I wrote after I sent him the list. And he goes sick. Okay cool. I'm still going to cuz he was like, "What should I do? White or black shirt?" And I was like, "Why?" And then after I sent the list, he goes, "Sure. I'm still going to wear a black shirt though." And then But then he's so stubborn. He's so stubborn. But some girl must have told him because he texted me like 2 days later and then he said that he was going to wear a white shirt. So somebody must have like told him afterwards. But he looks so good, guys. Like the best part was that he looked amazing. All thanks to me. Good for him. If it wasn't for me, he was going to wear a black shirt with the black suit jacket. Oh man. At least and we know he would have a black tie since he saw a black tie and that's all he got from it. The literal black tie. [gasps] Thank god he chose me as his date. Everything's meant to be. [laughter] Yeah, you guys look so cute. Wait. Okay. And then when we were there, I was talking to people at the table and I was like, "Oh, what do you do?" And this guy's like, "I'm a luxury mattress dealer." And so I'm like, "Okay." And he goes, "Yeah. Have you ever heard of the artist Drake?" And I go, "Yeah." He goes, "You know the song where he goes, I only love my mom and my bed. Sorry." He goes, "They're talking about my bed." And I'm like, "Oh, what is it?" And he's like, "It's called Hastings. Have you heard of that? A Hastton's bed?" No. Oh, okay. Well, these beds, they range from $80,000 to $1.7 million. Wait, I don't understand what I need to know. Like, what are the features? It's a lifetime warranty of a bed. You'll only ever need one bed for the rest of your life. So, if you think about that, you think about you get a new bed, you're supposed to get one supposed to every 10 years. And let's say we have another four decades left. That's like that could be like 30,000 m, you know, like the whole shebang set that we got was like before the discount was like 11,000. My god. So, but now everybody's changing every 10 years. I feel like they're doing like 15. Oops. But but so it like it's all horsehair and it's all engineered and it's all custom to fit to like what you are. It's like the lam it's like you know like the Lamborghini hyperallergenic like and like there are some key points you know you're going to like when I buy my sheets I am particular with what kind of sheets I buy because I sleep on my bed every single night for the rest of the year. sleep on your you sleep on your mattress every single night for the rest of your life. So, what's interesting about the whole situation is like this this guy's telling me and I'm looking at him. I'm like, I want to [ __ ] sell a mattress. I want to do it. Like, I'm just seething inside myself. Like, I want to sell a mattress. I'm actually kind of selling the one right now. No, cuz I want to I want to be able to do it. I'm like, this seems like insane but luxury but like attainable, but a little bit attainable. Like I think I can sell a luxury mattress and like be good at it. No, I think so too cuz all of a sudden me who's like super cheap is like huh sleeping and being comfortable and like how much better would my sleep be? And you know I love a a brain rot you know like I love a brain rot. Yeah. Yeah. So, like a bed rot, a bedrot, you know, like all day just laying in your bed and like think about your family in your Lamborghini of a bed. But so, see, see, you know, when we make it, guys, you guys will know you'll see our mattress tags or maybe they sponsor us. But, so then I like go home and I'm like, I'm jazzed about this mattress, guys. Like, I like I'm so good at sales and I just want to sell this mattress. So, I tell my husband about it and I text my friend and I'm like, "Hey, are you like sober right now and like free to have like a funny conversation?" She's like, "Yep, I'm sober and alone." So, so solo parenting just did bedtime routine. So, I call her and we were like, we were like building my mattress career. I am like we are like we are going like so hard on like how I'm going to sell it. Like the type of I already have connections to sell this mattress. [clears throat] I really do. Like I already have a clientele. I already kind of feel like I know who I would reach out to to get to the next person to sell this mattress. And then we leave on a good note. Like we talked for like 20 minutes about this mattress. I hang up and then I like Google it and like h the base salary [ __ ] guys. I'm done. Well, what's the commission? It's 4%. So, I think at the lowest you make like $1,500 a mattress, but then that's it. Yeah. And then you make like a base of 60,000 a year. And like it's 4% though. So, I'm not selling like a million dollar mattress every day, but I'm also not selling one mattress a day. I could probably sell a lot of mattresses in the beginning, but like that's it. Like for me to sell that much of your mattress, you're only going to give me 1,500 out of like an $80,000 mattress. That's [ __ ] insane. Ridiculous. But I think I could do it. Alison, reach out to me if you want like a celeb shot. I would just like to sell enough mattresses to get the mattress cuz I'm so They let you They let you finance it. No, I feel like they should reach I feel like we should do a deal with them when they're bigger. They are like they'll use these clips. They'll be like And you know, I feel like a few taste buddies might need this mattress now after hearing me talk about this. Yeah, I was like doing the girl math how to justify it. Okay, we spent a lot of time with the appetizers. We're going to have to get to that favorite color story on the side mads unless we have time later. Let's get into feeding the Italian group chat. Yay. Okay. So, I did some really cool things here in Tuscany. It's been a totally different experience than Florence. It's very farmtotable. Uh a lot more simpler dishes, a lot more familiar dishes. Like every menu, you're going to see wild boar ragu. That's something that's very common. You're going to see peachy pasta, which uses the agleion garlic we talked about last week. It's kind of like the elephant garlic and like a red sauce and then the handmade thicker noodles. So delicious. There's also like the a truskin soup and there's like this like tomato soup that's almost just like red sauce without noodles and um a lot of truffle. So, we actually got to go truffle hunting with a truffle dog and it was so cool. A dog. Yes. Her name was Sally. And she was precious. She was like 15. And we found five truffles. She found like really big white ones, too. So, that was super cool. And then a lot of the truffle hunters also work with cheese makers. And so then we went to a cheese making class at a farm and learned so much about cheese. And the biggest takeaway is that I I feel like just like I became a balsamic snob, I am now going to be a cheese snob because what he kind of taught is that cheese making a lot of it is very similar processes. But the reason there's so many different cheeses is because it all has to do with the quality of the milk obviously and what kind of things are going into it. So if you're using a super high quality milk, you aren't going to have as many additives, right? Um or and you don't need as many acids or cultures because there's a lot of cultures. So the biggest thing to look at when you're buying cheeses is the source. like what like knowing where it's from obviously like whi where the where it was made um what kind of animal and the conditions of the animal. He even said there's a difference between like you'll notice a difference of a cheese tasting from a rainy day milk and a sunny day milk. Like there's that's how much the nuance is. Yeah. His palette is a little bit more refined than mine. Um, we're going to get there when you take me to Italy, but it's we're not there yet. Yeah. No, to I totally and the the thing that was kind of cool is we got to try like obviously different milks and cheeses and ages and whatever. Um, but it was just really fascinating and it made me want to have a whole like cheese making setup at my house. Um, of course. What kind of cheese did you make? So, we just made a sheep's cheese just like a It was very It was like a We made a softer one and a harder one. Um the actually most cheese doesn't have salt added to it. It's the salting creating the rind that gives it saltiness and the aging. So, it was very mild tasting because there was obviously no aging or salting. M. Well, it still sounds good. No. Yeah. No, totally. Um, no, it was awesome. And then we went to this one place called Demetra Cooking School and we did a tasting menu and that was really cool because for it was kind of it was our only like rainy evening and no one else was there. So, it was like a private dinner and it was a tasty menu and like it was all things that I probably wouldn't have ordered. Like the first was like a pea soup gaspacho that like literally tasted like peas from the farm and was like such an interesting texture. Um and then Yeah. No, me too. But I just feel like it's not something I'm like seeking out out of like my I would and I would never make it. Totally. And then this was wild. They did a sheep ragu and I actually didn't I thought that like I misheard her. Even like the people I was with were like, "Oh yeah, it's a sheep ragu." I'm like, "This isn't sheep." Like this is this is beef. Like this tastes like what is it called? Short rib. This tastes like short rib. Like it tasted like a short rib pasta, but it was sheep. And then the main course was orange duck and it was the best duck I've ever had. Ever. Well, [ __ ] That says a lot. I know. It was so good. Again, I I just I I and I I feel like I hadn't really had anything like it the way it was prepared. So, and then Oh, yeah. And then the last thing the the dessert was just this like ricotta with a homemade oat crumble and homemade salted caramel and it was [ __ ] phenomenal. Ooh, you're making me hungry. Maybe like we'll need to add to the list like a like cuz my brother was talking to me about it like doing like you know like a Taiwanese food tour or Shanghai. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. No, that sounds amazing. Have you been to Singapore? Singapore. Yes. Yeah. I probably wouldn't go with producer Joe because I was thinking about like all the strict rules they have and then I would think about like him being like, "No, that's not a rule." Oh no. So stressful. He would like he would like immediately like walk out chewing gum and like spit it somewhere just because he wanted to see what happened. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [laughter] Too stressful. We have to get him out of Singapore out of jail. Yeah. Wait, one last one. Um, the last one I want to tell you about was another little farm tot spot and they everything they have um has saffron and they had a saffron farm, which is not something you see like much in Italy. And so they their Yeah. Their biggest thing was like saffron honey. And so it was so delicious. And their the best thing was their dessert was a like saffron honey pastry that had like ricotta in it and it was so delicious. And they also had ribs that were made with the saffron honey that were was just so so good. And it was just like a really cute they did like many was in Italian. and they didn't speak English place. I really recommend if anyone's trying to figure out where to stay in Tuscanyany. Montto Chino is so great because it's very central. So if you're into wine, you can go to Keianti. You can go to Montipuchiano. If you're into wine, you'll like Montino as well because it's known for Brunello and there's all these Brunello tasting areas and Otekas. But guys, she's just spitting Italian languages at us. I'm like, uhhuh. Uhhuh. Brunello. I want the Jimmy. I'm like, "Okay, we'll be there. We'll be there." It's like a small It's a small town, but then it's also a good spot that like it's a good like home base that has a bunch of great food and is a walkable area, but if you want to like branch out, um, we also ended up going to the hot springs that are all over social media and they were really cool. As long as you go on a weekday and you go really early in the morning and you have to know that it smells like sulfur, which is rotten eggs. And there's also teeny little worms. So, if you're not cool with teeny little worms, you might not love it. You went to the hot springs. Like, how big was the area that you guys had to like bathe near each other? It's really big. It's like uh Okay. Okay. Just making sure. Yeah. Yeah. Um Okay. Well, something I want to bring locally to Phoenix for feed the group chat. Maddie, I forget. Have you been to Taco Viva? No. Okay. Next time we film, we're going to go there after. It's so good. It's fast casual. And like, so I went and like street cred. I went with somebody that was Mexican and we went to Taco Viva and he was like, "What is this place?" And I was like, "You've never been here? It's honestly the best place east of the 51." And if people don't know, here in Phoenix, east of the 51 is like white. Okay. You go west, it's a little bit more color. East is like white. And this place is authentic, Maddie. It's just like Tacos Elgordo. Oh my god. Well, okay. By the way, I can't even tell you how [ __ ] good Mexican food sounds right now. Like, I I know I'm like an [ __ ] but like I'm I I am at my pasta limit. Like, I want [ __ ] carneasada. Okay. Wait, that makes me so happy that even you can tap out Italian food. Oh, no. 100%. I also would really kill for some Thai food or some Indian food or just like not Italian. Well, you when you get to the airport, we So, we went to Taco Viva and they the only that's different is like some of the meat they don't have. But, and I've never gotten the carnosada fries there and it was actually so good. But basically, you go and you order and then after you order, you go up to any man that's standing there that tear and you just like tell him what you want and you say like conto which is like everything and so it gives you like guac and onions and I just love a place that does not upcharge for guac. It's there's something so fabulous about it in this economy. What a luxury. Yeah. and they crisp up your tacos. Everything's made to order. And like pro tip, because I was just meeting somebody there, so we got there like at 11:55 and the it was full house busy. But honestly, being there at the like the 11:15 rush is pretty bad because everybody's like fighting for a seat and they have so many seats there, too. Oh my god, that's amazing. I'm so excited. Yeah, we're going to go. Well, we're going to eat it. You're going to like it's just going to feel like home a little bit. It definitely I think is one of the best tacos here in Phoenix. Like I'll have to try that place. I got the Michelin, but for now like this holds the number one position for me. Okay. Wait, also I want to bring up so like news over here too in the States, Maddie. But True Foods filed for bankruptcy and they're not all Phoenix, but they're closing 12 locations. I guess when I looked I think the Phoenix locations were like safe but they're like $42.2 million in debt and I'm like how do you have that much line of credit? Yeah. Seriously, that's so wild. I actually remember when there was only like two locations cuz it was in my vegan era and I was obsessed. They have this really delicious like coconut drink that I'm obsessed with. But here's the thing about True Foods. True Foods is good. There's a few things I would change about it. They could have bigger portions. I think they feed ants. I know everybody's vegan, but like you can have a little you could have more calories. Like if anything, it should be bigger portions. Like it's pretty expensive to eat healthy there. So I also So I like them. I like their juices that they have, but like they haven't changed their menu in like 20 years. Yeah, it's kind of the same. But, you know, they were a Sam Fox restaurant. We know Sam Fox is local to Scottdale, Arizona, but they sold to that Cheesecake Factory Company, I'm pretty sure. So, it's not really the same. Yeah. And so, it's just like they scaled and now it's going to go to private equity. where everything goes to die. Yep. Another one bites the dust. It's going to be the vegan cheesecake factory. Or I mean cheese factory. No one asked for it. It's more like a vegan California pizza kitchen. Like more like that. Even worse. Even worse. Okay. Are you ready to whine and dine? I've been thinking about this. I've been thinking about this for a while. Having to download an app for one specific interaction, like when you're [ __ ] parking and you have to download a whole new app. Oh my god. Yeah. I mean like Maddie nicely gave me a tellahalth doctor that I use and I do like using that app but it like pissed me off when I'm like booking online and then they made me download another app and then they made me download another app because one app is for billing and one app is for admin and I'm like it's so annoying. No, you guys should have thought that we should combine them and find a different company to do it together. No, that that it is so annoying. I can't scan. Even like parking is so annoying. Like why don't we have tap? Why doesn't it like scan and Apple pay these days? It should be that and printers. Those are like two things by now we should have figured out how to make more efficient. Well, we should have community printers with the ink situation. You know, when I was a kid, I used to actually think about like I didn't go as far as I tech cuz I didn't think phones, but I used to think like what if one day we got to put our credit cards together and they touched and that's just how you gave the other person money, which is essentially what kind of happened now, but a little bit differently. But I was a little bit innovative. Yeah. Actually, Steve Jobs who? Yeah. Seriously? Yeah. Well, what did you what inconvenienced you recently? Oh, well, so I've been making reservations here in Italy and sometimes you have to call, sometimes you need to WhatsApp, sometimes you need to do it on the fork. But some I had one that I really wanted to go to and they made you download their [ __ ] app. Do you like WhatsApp as like a world traveler? No, I mean it's a necessary just I just feel like I feel like WhatsApp's a little bit invasive. Yeah. And I feel like they need a UX design rebrand. Yeah. And I I like I what I like about WhatsApp, what I really do enjoy is that it is that international universal thing. Like at least they're not making us download like 20 other apps to text somebody. Like I can use WhatsApp for the majority of things. Exactly. Exactly. That another one I had to download another delivery app for one of the nights where we wanted pickup. Okay. The worst is when they like make you download like multiple authentifications. [gasps] Like what what authenticator do you need? I'm like [ __ ] I don't know. Is it Salesforce authenticator? Is it Microsoft? Is it this? It's so random. Oh my god, it's so annoying. Yeah, you already have my data. I don't know what you want. Well, my wine is like venue food. It's like make America great again. Make venue food better again. Cuz everybody's always so just not eat. So, okay. I You know what I know? It's shocking. The best venue food that I had was Have you ever been to like H [ __ ] what's the name? I want to drop it nicely. So, let me look it up real quick. It's like lose at Papago. No. Oh, yeah. It is called just lose at Papago. Okay. So, Papago Park is like this like older golf course. Like not it's just not like the number one golf course here. They have this um restaurant there and then they also have like weddings. And we went to this wedding there and they had instead of buffet they did family style at the table and it was so good. Like I am team family style. Yes. Oh 100%. That's how you make a venue food better. Like family style over buffet every day. I feel like. Period. Yeah. Period. One time, producer Joe and I were at a venue and or yeah, we were at a a gala and before we were like, shoot, the food's going to be bad because it's a gala. And so we snuck and not snuck into but we went into a like shuderie like pushut putoriia to get like jerky and and like pushuto to put in my purse so we'd have like good snacks and cheese and yeah purse cheese became a thing. Camp camping camping cheese for for the gala. No, it was Pegarino. It was Pegar Romano. It was it with true Italians. Also, I don't know why though, but during cocktail hour, like I'm so hungry. Like, and I hate And I know that like venues are, you know what, venues are [ __ ] We should not be charging an arm and a leg for these like appetizers so that they can just feed the people more and they won't get drunk during cocktail hour. Yeah. Because like I like am so hungry for the food. So, I thought we'd like, you know, we can say like if you were a cocktail hour, what would be your go-to food? Um, I'm honestly a big pigs in a blanket girl. I think you can't [ __ ] those. That's like one of the few things you can't [ __ ] up at cocktail hour. I also think pigs in a blanket is brilliant because it has carbs. Like the people like I I do like a little bit of like a baked puff thing because it's more filling for my alcohol. Yeah. You have carbs, fat, and protein. Mhm. Checks every box. It's savory but has a tang of sweetness if it has the right little wiener. Yeah. Or like a um a salmon like I know that like like a salmon puff with something is really good. Mhm. I even like a little like I even like a shitty egg roll. Oh, I like a shitty egg roll too. I you know and I will say a caprese skewer it's not going to fill me up but it's fine. Bretta is too messy in the bread scale. I really like the m the meatball has to look like it's not perfectly circular. Yeah. Yeah. And it it can't be like an Italian style meatball. It has to be like a like sweet meatball. You know what I'm talking about? Like teriyak. Oh. Oh, I do love like a a shrimp. Like not a shrimp cocktail, but I love like a bacon wrapped shrimp, a bacon wrapped scallop. Yeah. Like I I love like I love a onebiter. A onebiter. I think like that's my favorite. You know, I don't want to bite into it. I agree though. A venue scallop can be really hit or miss. Even bacon wrapped a bacon wrapped day with cheese in it. [ __ ] my [ __ ] up. Yeah. Yeah. I'm trying to think, you know, we we need to like we need to keep and then like what's acceptable is I think that people should have like the people to pass it to keep it classy, but I think like a grazing table for like me when I'm like just so [ __ ] hungry. I can't wait for the person to come by again. Absolutely. There needs to be like a giant shakuderie board with cheese and veggies and nuts and cold cuts and past apps for sure. Yeah, I'm getting hungry. Well, I'm thinking about our party, you know, cuz one day we're going to have a party. That's like my dream. That's like my we made it dream. Like the aftertaste anniversary party happen. Yes. And we need an aftertaste after approved apps. [laughter] What do you mean like an aftertaste app? No, no, no. Sorry. I don't No, because we don't need more. We don't need more applications. I meant like an appetizer list. I'm so sorry. Going against my own wine. I'm like making the ties downloaded. Yeah. Yeah. You use our website without a app, guys. [laughter] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Uh you don't have to you don't have to download an app to listen. Well, because it comes pre- on another app that you listen to. Okay. Like disclaimer, you you still have to use an app. Okay. Um, are you ready to spill the matcha? Yes. Um, she's sleepy. She's sleepy in Italy, but it's okay. I know. Sorry. Big yawn. Okay. So, um, Eric was being so weird the other day because he was off and I was off and like I didn't know he was going to be off. So, then he had a we had a sitter come and then I was like, "Well, do you mind if like I just leave?" And like I was like, "Do you want to watch a like Varity with me?" And he was like, "I do, but I don't want to watch it like that early then." And I was like, "Well, can I go watch it alone?" And then he Yes. And then he like didn't let me and then like he like made a face so I didn't go watch it alone. And like I wish I did like I think I just like miscalculated the time wrong because when you have a kid you have to calculate like your schedule really precisely. So I think I miscalculated that. But yeah, Varity's out and it finished number one in the box office. Oh my gosh. Okay. I want to see it. Yeah, it I think I got like 38 on Rotten Tomatoes. Oh, but everybody loves an they love an Some people thought Josh Hartnett was like kind of a weird casting for that. Um I agree. Um and then people are like if you never seen if you've never read the book, you like love it. And if you haven't read the book for a while, you like it. But if you just read the book, you don't like it. Oh, good to know. It's been a while for me. So, it's been a while for me. And I think it's because people really hang on to like including every single part in it, which I totally get it. Like the book's the book for a reason, but there's only so much you could put in in 2 hours. And I guess like there was I guess like the thing that they took out, which was like a really big plot, is do you remember when um they lock her door or like she gets her door, she is locked in her room. I guess that scene never like happens. Okay. Yeah. I am a I am very much like a do it by the book as close as possible person even though I do understand the constraints of film but we'll see. No. Okay. Like, okay, Hunger Games, fantastic depiction. Fantastic depiction. They really did a good job. Agree. But there's this one movie that Anne Hathaway did like something of you. I don't know where she was like a cougar. Oh, yeah. I didn't see it or read it, but I read it. That was an awful, awful, awful, awful movie. And my sister's keeper. They they changed the whole [ __ ] end. Like terrible. Oh well, I don't know. I already I didn't read it. I just cried in the book. So that's I was fine with that. Is PS I Love You a book? Yeah, it is. PS I Love You is one. Yes. That Oh man, I forgot how much I cried during that. Did you read the Did you watch Did you like the movie? Because I only watched the movie. I I think I did. I don't That was a I mean Well, that was early 2000s. Yeah. Mhm. Okay, next one. Okay, this one's going to be like I just wanted your commentary on it. It's more pop culture, but TSA just passed a law and now like the people that scan your IDs like when you are going right before security, you're not allowed to sit down. I hate that. It's like, can we just not care about the stupid [ __ ] and make other things more efficient? Like that is not a law, rule, or anything that I give a [ __ ] about. They are standing there for six hours. I have mild anemia. I feel their pain. If I had to stand there for six hours, let me have a [ __ ] seat. What is wrong with them sitting? Give them a chair. They are federal employees, not [ __ ] Abberrombie models from 2007. Like, I can't I want I want my my TSA agent to be focused and comfortable, too. Like I that's not a workplace where I want someone thinking about how bad their lower back hurts the whole entire time. [snorts] Just like why do you give a [ __ ] Get other cooler policies in line with it, you know? Like how about we figure out a way for like you guys to fly and not explode our batteries without us compromising bringing our batteries. Yeah. Or let me bring soft cheeses back from Italy easier. Okay. Like come on. Yeah. Or like I don't know like maybe if you see like a toddler and like my breast pump maybe you don't have to test my breast milk every single time. Yeah. Seriously, that's crazy. Well, I don't like just disclaimer guys. I have stopped that a couple years ago. Okay. Unless you in case you guys think I still do. [laughter] Okay. Here's one. Landon Barker and Ashton Earl are seen out and about possibly dating. I think they're really cute actually. I love like a little emo Nepo-ish baby with like a little girly neo-ish internet baby. I think they're adorable. I love them so much. And I actually think that they're like an iconic couple of that age. And it's so funny because I think their couple pairing is more iconic than Ash than um Alex and Braxton. Like I just Landon and Ashton are like an it couple. Like it's so cute. I agree. No, totally. Uh oh, wait. I'm sorry though. Did you see about Alex saying she's never read a book? Yes. But then did you see the video she made later on, which I thought was really funny. I did think that was funny, but also like I can excuse a lot from the Earl Cinematic Universe, but illiteracy I feel like is where aftertaste does the line. I think we need we need like a starter pack for people who think they hate reading. I wanted to comment on that and I was going to run it down, but then I saw the video and I was like, is she like pushing our buttons or not? You know what I mean? I was like, okay. Yeah. like or like did she say it but like didn't really mean it like it was so off the cuff and she didn't know like that was the thing that was going to break the camel's back, you know? Yeah. Yeah. Cuz I want to believe like if she I mean like girl like she did go down in some points like I I like to read. I think this should inspire a new philanthropic initiative, the aftertaste adult literacy program. after Jason just like we we have like a list of book wrecks for you know people who need to get back into reading or start from square one if they've only read Dr. Seuss. [snorts] Well, if anybody wants to read I am on the last Crescent City now and then on the 27th my book comes out. It's so funny cuz I am reading um when I was up late reading the other night. It's like it's so like I was up till 11:30 finishing my book, guys, and I've already read it. And that's just to say that like a good writer is a good writer. Oh, that's the best feeling. I love like that end of the book. And Eric was like I was like, "Oh, I have two hours left of my book. I'm going to finish it tonight." And Eric's like, "Two hours?" And I was like, "Yeah, that's what my thingy said." And he goes, "That's a long time." [laughter] It's like, "Okay." Like, oh my gosh. Okay. And then, okay, wait. Last thing we want to do is Dancing with the Stars recap. Um, I'm not there to see your face, but did you watch it or not? No. And I didn't even watch clips. You're the worst. Okay, I'm going to tell everybody because I wrote notes down for you guys. Okay, you This is like how much you [ __ ] miss it, Maddie. Okay. So, you know my like uh Amber the Olympics girl. Yes. So, they're practicing. She broke her partner's nose. And then he and then she was crying and she was felt so bad. And then they crushed their performance and they were so happy and she and she did like a flip and she did like a flip. Okay. That's amazing. Is that how she broke it in the first place? No. Well, yeah, but they she broke it like practicing. They broke it at practice, but it like broke and it was bleeding and everything and they got on film. Oh my god. Iconic. I know. Okay. What were you going to say? Oh, I was just going to say I do blame my concussion cuz again, I literally just got backed into watching anything yesterday and I have not watched any reals yet. Okay. Okay. It's real. [snorts] Well, you watched The Godfather last night, so that's what I said. That's that was the only thing. Okay. So then like Julia and Ezra like she was Okay. Eric was By the way guys, these commentaries also include my husband because he was [ __ ] cracking me up. Like it might be it's going to be our new thing. We're going to start watching Dance with the Stars together. So Julia and Ezra, she's so vulnerable. I love her. She's so sweet. I love her. As I'm typing, as I'm typing this, Eric says, "I don't know why I'm not the biggest fan of her." [laughter] I can picture him saying that. That's so funny. So, she's like upset about her. She's like being vulnerable about her score and everything and all this stuff. And then Eric had the Eric had the nerve to say she cries a lot. [laughter] She crushed it. Okay. Germo and Whitney. Eric saw them and said, "They're still in this." [laughter] And then he said he liked them and he smirked at me. And then when his camera was like ship his shirt like ripped over with the coconuts like he nearly lost it. [laughter] I posted that on Tik Tok. my commentary. He's really He's really using his sexual appeal. Get it, GMO. Um, Tatiana Ali and Yan. So, it was amazing. It was her best performance yet. There was a lot of drama, Maddie, because like I get apparently they did like this huge trick and number and they [ __ ] up the camera and they blocked it on like they changed and they blocked it on the crowd instead. But yeah, see the drama really. Yeah. And so anyways, Tatown Elise, she locked the [ __ ] in. She did amazing. Best dance she had. Eric said they did really good. And he goes, "They did really good. I bet they get sixes. Harry Schum Jr. and Jenna. He's doing more advanced moves. I thought they're amazing and technical. And then Bruno, like he's one of the judges. He's like the extra guy. Like this is a guy that like you'll have to see. He's like the lore of Dancing with the Stars. So he um he was getting a lot of saliva when he was talking. And then Eric when he was so Yeah. And then he said that um uh Eric didn't know who the pro was. He said he assumed that they were going to win through scale through skill-wise and then Eric started schooling me on facts. That's the notes I have. Oh, Taylor Hansen and Brit it it was good, but the song bored me and Eric agreed. He also said that he Oh, he also said that he doesn't look like he understands Bruno, which is true. The host Taylor did not understand Bruno. Mora and Mark, great posture. Eric said about Mark, he said, "I mean, he's a good dancer." And then he looked at Mora and said, "Her nose job is intense." [laughter] And then I and then I had to Google and be like that is her nose. That's even better. [laughter] Um Jackson Olsen and Jenna. Uh he was not we were not mentally prepared for him to be the matador. He had some rough critiquing. Um I felt bad and then they cheered him up because he was nominated for sexiest Tik Tocker. But Eric was the harshest of all because he thought they were going to give him all threes. Connor Wood and Riley. My only commentary is he looked like a lesbian with his mullet. Are you saying that like it's a bad thing? He's a male. [laughter] So, an improvement. Yeah, they did really good, but it was really fast. And I feel bad for her cuz she's like getting critiqued really hard. you know, like I feel like they're critiquing her so hard. Tyler, Cameron, and Jenna, I see a little bit of my husband in him. He's just like an average guy that's trying. So, like I see my husband in him. [laughter] And um and then I wrote, "He tried so hard. Good for him. Carrie Anne is a harsh critic." And then Ezra and Daniela, I wrote just beautiful. loved them and they were amazing. Just the sweetest. And then they Oh, and then it was a shocking elimination. They sent home the Hansen brothers and everybody was shook. There was so much drama behind it. Like they were rushing to the stage and whispering her ear and nobody saw it coming and everybody wrote like heartfelt messages and I was like, "Oh, damn. What's the drama?" Because they have a huge fan base. Yeah. People were texting me about it cuz it's my first season, so I don't like know everything. apparently like she was in High School Musical. O but yeah. But yeah, so that's that. Let me back to the show notes and we can do our palette cleanser. Yay. Okay. So, um we're going to do a palette cleanser cleanser called Should Well, we we can name it right now. Is it going to be chew cheic or just is it chewy? I think. Is it cheeky? Yeah, cuz like even if it's not, it's not chic. Okay, you do the top section and I'll do the bottom section. Okay. Tory Burch Miller sandals. It's Chey. And I'm sad cuz I have like so many pairs and I haven't worn them because I don't want to get called out. I was going to say Choo City. I I never got on that train. Oh, I chewed it up, baby. Add a few colors. They're expensive, so like I don't want to get rid of them. Stanley Tumbler. Yeah. Um, I would say chey. I say not cheooy because I think water is chic and I think everybody has a water cup now. Even it's a Walla and it's Stanley. I think I think a St. I have a Stanley and let me tell you it lasts through a fire. I will die on my Stanley Hill. I So this is what I think. I bought two of them and I don't use either of them because they weren't as practical as I thought compared to the ones with the fold over straws. No, cuz the straws if you bring them to the gym and it knocks over and then the straw is like on the floor, it's gross. You know, you can change that straw, right? Oh, well, I just new water bottle. But you know what? I agree. You're right. Water is chic. So, I agree with you. They were a gateway into more hydration. They're like Beanie Babies for hydration. People were just collecting different ones. And don't compare my water to Beanie Babies. [laughter] [gasps] Like, let's not let's not go there, baby. Okay. Uh, your turn. UGG ultra mini platform boots. Cheeky, but I kind of want a pair. Not even that. Like the Tasmin slip-ons. They look comfortable. Okay. I feel like the slip-ons are a different category than the mini boots because I feel like the mini boots are cheeky and also sweaty. And really, like the second I see a Ugg, I'm like 14 years old with wet hair and a Jan Sport. Like [laughter] I just can't. But you want a slip-on. Yeah. But the slip-ons are different for some reason. Like those are acceptable to me. They have like breathing room. Yeah. No, they're chew. They're still cheoogy but like less cheeky. They're chewy. Like I feel like this. Yeah. I feel like they're like acceptable to like run to Target in. No. Yes. Tell me. Yeah. No one's running to Target in Uggs. Okay. Okay. Skinny jeans. Chey for sure. And I listen as a former like wannabe emo kid, I have priors, but as a big calf girly, I feel so liberated by the deeming of skinny jeans cheoogy. And I don't know why I ever tried to be into them. Yeah, there I I am hanging on to a few for like boots, but they're they're cheoogy. Go ahead. Yeah, I that's that's an appropriate place for them is when they're the bottoms are being hidden by big shoes. [snorts] [laughter] Okay, your turn. Lululemon belt bag worn crossbody. Um, it's cheoogy now. Sorry, Maddie. No, no, it's okay. I It It is. It is. I still do. I still pry. Yeah, you'll pry it for my cold conveniently hands-free body [laughter] because I And I wear it not even I'm worse cuz I don't wear it crossbody. I wear it straight up around my waist looking like I'm leading a walking tour of Florence and it gives Foopa and I just embrace it. I love my little FOA or sometimes she just like holds it. She's like strong arms. I will put my Lulu cross body in a purse instead of changing like it just it has all my stuff in it. It's practical. It's it's my tactical belt. It's my cargo shorts. with my portable cargo shorts. Oh my god. Actually, now you really gave me the ick. I like cannot handle a man. Ah, I cannot handle a man in cargo shorts. What? Don't say that, Maddie. Okay, first rule of thumb, like I'm so sorry to embarrass you like on the internet and this and but like when we get more rich, we're getting a purse stylist for you. I'm going to do it for you. It's me. I'm going to be the person stylist, but I'm going to move everything to a different place that has zippers and then you're just going to be stuck cuz you're going to be so lazy not to move it back that you're going to be fine. Okay. No, because this is the thing. No, no, no. We can't because this is the thing. I'm going to leave the purse places. That's the problem. It's going to be a cross body. Okay, then we're fine. Yeah, it's still a cross body. It's just like more attractive. Okay. Yeah, I do need that. Okay. Thank you. You're welcome. Oh, look at that, guys. They just got like a medal for doing like the basic deed of fashion policing. [laughter] I need the police. Well, that's how I, you know, she's like a people pleaser cuz like I started the sentence like, "I'm so sorry to embarrass you on the internet and it ended with thank you." [laughter] [gasps] Oh. Oh, okay. Um, avocado toast. I feel like it's not chewy if you make it yourself, but if you buy it, like you order it, it's chewy. And if it's a mashed avoc avocado, if it's a mashed avocado toast, it's chewier. It makes me so upset. Full stop. Like, like, why do they call it guacamole toast? Like, call it guacamole toast. Yeah. And like I refuse to let avocado toast take the blame for millennials not owning houses. However, I do think it's a waste of money. [snorts] I do like it at home though with like a fried egg. Okay, you're That's amazing. At home's different. Shuterie boards. Um I think that they're um I actually kind of do think they're cheoogy now cuz everybody's like everybody's like let me make a s like they're you they're spinning it differently you know they're like let me make a savory board let me get my guest together with like these perfectly yeah these square things is it's like I'm sorry but like I ordered I like a charerie. I love cheese, but like I would prefer some oysters over a cheese board now in my life. Back then I would prefer the cheese. I think that shakurerie isn't a trend. I think it's ancestral and that a wellexecuted shakureri board is an art form and I'll be contacting UNESCO. Well, now I now I know where I push Maddy's [ __ ] buttons. Okay. Espresso martini. Is it chewy or not? I I don't think it's cheoogy. I think it's efficient. Okay. It's all you're doing the next one. It's it's it's aderall in business casual. Yeah. I think like truffle fries. Wait, wait. I think like um Sorry, that was the next one. I think espresso martinis are like fine. Like I don't need seven in a night anymore. But like Yeah, I still like a little like I love a espresso cap. Next one. Truffle fries in every menu. Yeah. You know what? Like I actually don't care either. Like I don't think they're chewy because I actually prefer like a truffle fry over a regular fry. I don't think they're chewy. I wouldn't even really order a fry unless it's a truffle fry. Like that's the only thing that's going to get me excited, get me going. Um, okay. Also, um, my last one is Appperol Spritz. Are they cheoogy or are they not? I don't think so. Even though I don't like them. I don't think they're chewy. I think they're actually coming more common in the States. So, I think that they haven't reached like peak chey level. Try me next year. Okay. Yeah, cuz I I always kind of thought they were chic and that I was lame because I don't like them. Like I want to like them cuz they look really chic. No, actually. Okay. So, have you ever heard like drink IPAs until you like IPAs? Mhm. Well, like that's kind of like the same with Appal. You drink them and then and then all of a sudden you're like I like it cuz like I like them now. And also there is like a way to do it. Some people can make it too bitter like they can. Yeah. Okay. You have one more. Okay. Starbucks pink drink. Pink drink. Uh not cheeky cuz I still drink it, [ __ ] Okay. I think that no, I think Starbucks in general is cheoogy, but I still love Starbucks. Like, it's like cheoogy the way Target's cheooy. Like, you can make fun of me all you want, but like I'll see you there. I'm embarrassed, but it won't stop me unfortunately. Do you want to know what's cheoogy? Because they opened up too many now. Tell me. Paris Baguette. I know. Totally. They like they went too far. Okay. Bye, Taste Buddies. I love you.
